Upgrade will improve care for patients
Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has selected System C to supply and implement its Medway Patient Administration System (PAS).
Over the coming months, the trust will be deploying the Medway PAS, A&E and business intelligence products across all its services.
Commenting on the move, Grahame Tosh, medical director at Southend University Hospital, said: “This is a quantum leap forward for this hospital. Our old PAS has served us well, but is outdated. We see having a modern PAS as a huge opportunity to improve care for patients.”
Nick Fernandez, director of IT, said the solution had been selected following a rigorous 12-month OJEU procurement process, adding: “Medway will be the keystone of our IT future strategy as we roll out modern, user-friendly clerical and clinical systems across the trust.”
The solution replaces the organisations’s longstanding TotalCare PAS from McKesson.
